About
Genwell
Weekends

Register to connect with family, friends, coworkers.

GenWell Weekends are strategically selected weekends when research suggests that people may benefit most from an opportunity to get connected face-to-face with others.

By rallying 40 million Canadians to connect over the same period of time, we make reaching out easier for some and fun for all.

We also provide an excuse and permission to take action. GenWell Weekends can also act as a reminder to those who may feel comfortable in reaching out to think about who might benefit from their outreach.

WHAT HOSTS SAID

Friends Around Table

COMMUNITY HOST

One of my friends said how they were so glad to have seen and spoken to everyone they saw, both new people and old friends. Another appreciated how they were able to be vulnerable with everyone there while another added it uplifted their mood so much.

One friend said it was such a good way to reconnect with old friends, and that Genwell Weekend gave them the opportunity to be more engaged and proactive with those friendships moving forward.

Smiling at Each Other

WORKPLACE HOST

I personally see people struggling from the post-pandemic social-disconnect, work, financial  pressure (ask anyone who was enjoying record low mortgage rates who had to renew at rates up 3 times higher or sell), anxiety etc.

These are some of the topics that people felt comfortable to share. Having social circles where people can support each other just by listening or offering helpful insight, makes a difference more than we may believe.

College Friends

CLASSROOM HOST

We had quite a few stories from our participants' experience, that highlighted equitable opportunities for diverse individuals to participate.

We spoke about how fortunate we are with respect to having people in our lives that make our lives richer and more fulfilling.
