GenWell Weekends for Classrooms
Twice a year (spring and fall), we work to activate Canadians to participate in GenWell Weekends from Friday - Sunday.

What are we asking?

On Friday’s we are encouraging teachers and professors to gather their classrooms and students to speak about and practice the skill of human connection. On Saturday and Sunday, we want to inspire students to take this message home with them and build connections with family, friends, neighbours and community.

GenWell Weekends are your excuse, reminder, & permission to get connected with the people you’ve been meaning to reach out to, but just haven't made the time to make it happen.
The Power of Human Connection
Studies show that social isolation, disconnection, and loneliness have a bigger impact on your health than smoking, obesity, and high blood pressure. Whereas social connection and social health positively impact your physical and mental health.

We are grateful to every teacher who sees the opportunity to leverage GenWell and GenWell Weekend as an opportunity to start a conversation about the role that social health plays in improving the mental and physical health of our youth.
We have always been in this together, but we need each other more than ever and we can all play a part in building back a more connected Canada.
